Broadstone Farmers’ Market on the move….
Broadstone Farmers’ Market is moving to its new venue at Broadstone First School from the next market to be held on Saturday, 16th February, 2008 from 9am until 1pm.
June Warburton, Market Manager says, ‘I’d like to thank everyone, customers and traders alike, who have supported the farmers’ market over the last 18 months or so that we have been in the Toastrack. We have worked hard to find a suitable alternative venue and feel confident that our customers will find our new venue at the Broadstone First School convenient and pleasant, making their visit to our farmers’ market an enjoyable one.’
Broadstone Farmers’ Market has a mouth-watering choice of produce on sale, including organic beef and lamb, pork, game, fish, cheese, fresh vegetables, bread, eggs, cakes and pies, preserves, plants and much more; so why not go along on 16th February and see for yourself – Broadstone First School is conveniently located in Tudor Road which is on the right off the road to the leisure centre. See you there!

Local charities to benefit from sale of Dorset Farmers’ Market calendar-
Dorset Farmers’ Markets has produced its first ever calendar with the proceeds being donated to Dorset and Somerset Air Ambulance and the Weldmar Hospice CareTrust. It features fantastic photographs each month which were taken by Matt Lewis of Stockland Venison and includes all the market dates for the year. Chip de Greef, Chairman says, ‘we are very proud of this, our first, calendar as it was produced at fairly short notice and has been designed by ourselves and includes some really dynamic photographs of various produce available at our markets. We thought that not only would this be a good way of supporting a couple of our local charities but that our customers would, at the same time, have the year’s market dates at a glance’.
The calendar will go on sale at a cost of £3.50 at all Dorset Farmers’ Markets from the beginning of October, with its first ‘outing’ at Poundbury Farmers’ Market on 6th October, 2007. Calendars will also be available from the Dorset Farmers’ Market office on 01258 454510, e-mail joyeatman@hotmail.co.uk.
